Who We Are

Since the beginning, we have always held the belief that tile design is a work of art. With a new line of thinking, a bold vision, an unwavering passion, and the premise that tile should be showcased in a more intimate and artistic setting, Kim Preis set out to establish The Fine Line in 1991. As the only showroom open to the trade outside of Chicago’s famed Merchandise Mart at the time, our trailblazing path is entrenched in everything we do.

Comprised of a small, passionate, and loyal team, we love our craft and help clients design stunning and inspiring spaces. Call us overly engaged, obsessed, or even crazy, but we care about our work that much.
